On the Radio in Utah
Putting my face for radio to good use.
If you’re sick of me writing about James Madison, now you can hear me talk about James Madison (*cue most of you deleting this email*).
For the happy few that remain, here’s the link to my appearance on Utah’s KSL News Radio yesterday, where I discussed my recent piece in The Dispatch and some thoughts on filibuster reform.
If you do take a minute to listen, feel free to comment below or email me what you think of the idea I floated at the end of the interview on replacing the filibuster’s supermajority requirement with a requirement in the Senate to pass major pieces of legislation with simple majorities, but multiple times—i.e., over the course of multiple sessions. I haven’t written about this idea yet, and it only recently popped in my head, so would love to hear if it’s crazy or not—but if you critique it, don’t just do so on partisan grounds!

Stay warm,

Great job Tom, if only you could persuade our politicians to be more civil and read your article instead of pandering to our former President, the various social and network media outlets something might actually get done in DC
